IMPORTANT : Before starting any kind of operation of your leather goods, you always have to clean the area that has to be treated first.

1. Clean the area that has to be treated
•  Once the gun screwed on the recipient, spay the liquid soap on the area that has to be cleaned and brush it.
• While cleaning, make sure the area is always covered with the cleaning product.
• The liquid soap has the role of a protective layer between the leather and the brush, by reducing the abrasive side without reducing the efficiency.
• To maintain that layer, continue to spray the soap on the area discontinuously.
• Once the brushing is complete, w ipe the mixture of soap and impurities with a cotton cloth, preferably white so that you can monitor the cleaningcleaning’s progress
•  The white cloth allows you to judge the level of cleanliness of the leather after wiping, the darker the cloth the more the operation needs to be repeated the whiter the cloth, the less you will have to clean again

2. Apply the fixative

The fixat ive has the role of a primer, when applied, it covers the leather with a thin layer that has a strong grip, allowing to fix the dye or the repair paste on the leather in a durable manner.
• Now that the surface is clean and dry, apply the fixative.
• When using the fixative you should only apply a few drops directly on the leather or on the Sponge.
• You then simply need to spread the drops on the leather with the Sponge.
• Let it dry for a few hours before applying the Repair Paste or the Dye.
• It is possible to optimise the drying time by using a heat gun.
3. Apply the Repair Paste
The Repair P aste , will allow you to cover the damaged areas, then, when dry, resolidarise them in order to prepare them to the dyeing process, where they will then become uniform.
• Using the Flexible Spatula, take a knob of Paste and place it on the part(s) that need to be filled.
• Still with the Spatula, smooth the Repair Paste after application so that it can penetrate properly into the damaged areas. This will also allow you to recover the excess substance, avoiding a loss of Paste.
•  Depending on the depth of the damage and the state of wear of the area on which the operation is performed, it may be necessary to apply several coats of Repair Paste.
•  Before starting any other operation and for a perfect result, it is necessary to allow the Repair Paste to dry for at least 24 hours.
•  It is possible to optimise the drying time by using a heat gun.

4. Apply the coloring

Dyeing is one of the last steps in the process and in addition to restoring your leather’s original colour, it makes it visually uniform
• For the dyeing process, start by using a paintbrush and then a sponge by tapping on the area where the dye has just been applied This allows an equal distribution and a good impregnation on the leather
•  Even though the dye has a strong covering power, it is crucial to completely cover the Repair Paste to make it uniform, to do so it is recommended to apply several coats of dye
•  It is important to respect a drying time of a few hours between each coat applied Time can be optimised using a heat gun
•  Once the last coat applied and dried and to eliminate the grains of dust fixed in the pigment, sand lightly with a sheet of sandpaper or a sanding block
•  To finalise the process, apply a finish such as the Finishing Fix or the Finishing GT 60 allowing your leather to have an extra shine.
